Contacts and Users
Contacts represent people who work for your dealership -- such as Salespeople, Sales Managers, and Finance Managers. Contacts can be assigned Contact Types for one or more Dealers. A User can be created for a Contact who needs to sign in to DealOptix.
Creating a Contact
From the App Configuration menu, select Contacts.

Select New Contact in the upper right hand corner.

Fill out the First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone fields.
To change the contact's profile photo, select the camera icon and browse to the desired image.

Position the photo within the circle. Zoom in or out with your mouse's scroll wheel. Click Accept when picture is positioned as desired.

Select the + button under Contact Dealers.

Select the Contact Type from the dropdown.
Select the Dealer location(s) from the dropdown.
If a given contact should have more than one contact type, add another by clicking the + button again. You can remove contact types by selecting the - button.
Select a Subscription using the dropdown menu. Only subscriptions for dealers relevant to the contact will be shown.
Select Save when finished.

Editing a Contact
Contacts can be edited or deleted from the App Configuration/Contacts menu. Select the green icon to edit, or the red trash icon to delete.
Editing Contact Types
Users with Client Admin privileges may be able to edit Contact Types under the App Configuration menu. You can add a new Contact Type by clicking the New Contact Type button in the top right corner. You can also edit or delete existing Contact Types.
Do not delete or edit the Sales Manager, Sales Person, or Finance Manager Contact Types.
Creating a User
From the App Configuration menu, select Users.
Select the New User button in the top right corner.

Fill out the required fields.
Use an email address for User Name.
Passwords must contain one lowercase alphabetical character, one uppercase, one number and one symbol.
Your browser may auto-fill the fields with your own login information if you have saved your credentials. This is a browser setting and not a feature of the app.
Select the appropriate Role for your user. Role privileges are customized to your dealership, but generally Client Admins have the highest level of access, whereas Viewers have the lowest.
If you've already created a Contact for the user, select it from the dropdown or by using the search function. If you haven't created a Contact, you can do so from the screen by clicking the plus + button.

Select Save.

Send the credentials you just created to the person you've created them for.
Editing a User
Users can be edited or deleted from the App Configuration > Users menu. Select the green icon to edit, or the red trash icon to delete.
Changing Your Password
To change your own password:
Select the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the left menu.

Select Change Password to go to the Change Password screen.

Enter your old password, your new password, and confirm your new password.

Select Change Password button.
